When we walked out onto the beach to do portraits of Francesca and Chris shortly after their ceremony, Francesca said she really wanted these particular rocks in the background of a photo. So we asked “Would you be willing to actually climb onto the rocks?” Without hesitation, she shouted “YES! We’ll do anything for you guys! Just tell us what you want us to do!”
Not only were these rocks jagged and slippery, but very big waves were crashing against them. As hard as it was, they stuck with it, even as they watched Ben get completely soaked twice by waves.
This is one thing we love about weddings – having brides and grooms who are excited about the art of photography and willing to do whatever it takes to get the shot.
Francesca always imagined her wedding with Chris to be just the two of them, and they picked the perfect environment for such an intimate, beautiful exchange - The One & Only Palmilla. It was our first time shooting here, and we found ourselves completely in awe at the utter beauty and luxury of this place.
Toward the end of the evening we were joined by our good friends Morgan and Amir of Morgan Lynn Photography in Houston, who helped with the lighting on the pool portraits. It was a great ending to the night, with all six of us swimming around the pool, taking photos and drinking margaritas. Thank you Francesca and Chris for letting us be a part of a day that will always be about just the two of you.
