Fate tried so hard to get these two together naturally – they lived within two miles of one another for seven years and frequented the same neighborhood pub – yet it took them joining an online dating site called Plenty of Fish to finally meet.
Hannah and Dan have been inseparable since that moment. Together, they love being out on the town in Washington D.C., seeing live music and sipping on classic cocktails. Their wedding brought both of those pastimes together.
After the ceremony at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Clifton, VA, everyone headed over to the Mandarin Oriental hotel in Washington D.C. for dancing (to a live band of course), cocktailing, and tender speeches that brought out the tears. Dan’s favorite part of the day was seeing Hannah walk down the aisle. Her favorite moment was their first kiss. And a happy moment that surprised both of them was seeing that Dan’s grandfather had made it to the wedding.
“He was a surprise for both of us when we got to the alter,” Hannah said. “My blue handkerchief went to great use with tears of joy.”
These two have a bright, fun future ahead, and we are so happy we got to witness their first day as husband and wife.
