There are certain people we feel we were meant to cross paths with, and Kristen and Kevin are two of them.
We met them a couple of years ago through Brynn and David, two Mississippi wedding guests we happened to befriend at the rehearsal dinner for Kara and Jon’s Natchez wedding. Our associate photographer Aaron Morris ended up shooting Brynn and David’s Wilmington NC wedding a year later.
Kristen and Kevin were Brynn and David’s next-door neighbors in Atlanta. After one “meeting” with these two (plus Brynn and David), which involved laughing for hours and someone knocking a glass of red wine all over my white dress, we knew we’d be friends for a long time.
Besides being 100% purely good, kind people, Kristen and Kevin are also really fun, super smart, and quirky in the most delightful, refreshing way (Kristen always apologizes for her long, rambling, stream-of-consciousness emails, but the thing is, I LOVE them and hope they never stop).
Their Atlanta wedding at The Foundry at Puritan Mill was everything we could hope for in a wedding day: beautiful, honest emotion; a unique location that made for an intimate ceremony; and a party that didn’t stop until the venue forced it to. We were SO happy to get to work with the band A-Town A-List for the third time. There is never any doubt that it’s going to be a good night when this group takes the stage.
Incidentally, Kristen and Kevin moved to Sacramento, CA, (basically our old stomping grounds) right after their wedding, for Kevin’s job as a brain surgeon. But we keep up with them through emails and texts, and look forward to their visits back down South. After all, there are a lot more bottles of red wine waiting to be spilled.
