Melissa and Cameron’s Santorini wedding was my first wedding in Europe, and the first time I had ever even been to Europe. The couple, who is from Melbourne, Australia, were already on the island when I arrived the day before their wedding. They made me feel at home right away, showing me around the island and all the scenic spots they had chosen for their wedding events.
It was so much fun experiencing this unique wedding destination, with its white and blue architecture, spiraling stairs, and mesmerizing Mediterranean waters. But more than that, I loved getting to experience Melissa’s infectious smile and laughter. She makes it very obvious how much she adores her family and friends, especially Cameron. It was easy to see that everyone feels very lucky to be loved by her.
Cameron and his friends, for their part, elevated the reception into a blowout of a party. I’ll never forget watching them take shots together at the bar, and the hilarious dance moves that followed.
Thanks to Shirley Chiarolanzio of Santorini Wedding Planners for running a tight ship but making everything so beautiful and relaxed at the same time. Santorini has definitely won me over, and I can’t wait to return someday for another beautiful wedding weekend.
