Ben and Erin,

I fell in love with the pictures from your blog and website long before I met you.  I knew early on that I wanted you to shoot our wedding, but because I thought I needed to do due diligence, I had to take time to consider other photographers. I pored over blogs and websites of many other notable photographers with whom you’re probably acquainted. I really wanted to consider them, and their pictures were beautiful, but none spoke to me as yours did.

You are able to capture emotions like no one else can.  You can capture the essence of a person in a picture.  As I look through our wedding photos, each familiar face that I see, I can say, “Yup, there it is. That’s the expression that I know and love.” I see their sense of humor, their quirkiness glowing on their faces and in their smiles. I see the gentleness in a glance, the tenderness in a smile. I am touched when I look at the expressions on the faces of people whom I love; to see the emotions written so clearly on their faces.  Clinton and I wanted to remember the emotions and spirit of the day and you have captured this so well.

When we planned our wedding, we had to juggle between 2 things.  Availability of the ceremony/reception location and your availability.  We would have changed our wedding date if you were busy — that’s how much we wanted you to be there. Spending large sums of money is difficult for me and normally makes me physically sick to my stomach, but you guys are so worth it. We compromised on other areas of the wedding, but we knew you had to be there. I had very high expectations of your ability and even so, am still impressed with your work. You probably feel a lot of pressure with every wedding due to expectations, but you really don’t need to worry; your work is outstanding.

Aaron and Dave,

I am sure many people have felt the same as me right now. All I want to say is ……….T..H..A..N..K……Y..O..U………:) We spent 3 hours looking at all the photos again and again. It brought back all the wonderful memories of the wedding, the laughter, the joy, the tears, the fun, the beer, the people. Looking at the photos, we felt the wedding was only yesterday! I love every shot, love the story behind each shot. This is what I wanted, a story that I can share with my friends and family. I am sure even after 10 years, when I look at the photos, I can still hear the laughter and feel the joy. Not only has your professionalism impressed everyone, but your passion, enthusiasm and creativity has truly inspired me, Kristy, our friends, my parents, even my grandparents!

I think choosing you as our photographers is one of the best decisions I made for the wedding, or even in my life. I am very, very grateful for both of your effort to come to our wedding, to be part of our wedding, and I am glad you are part of our memories now.

There aren’t enough ways to say thank you for being at our wedding! I think my family wanted to pack you up and take you home with us. Your attitude, peaceful demeanor, sense of humor… and just how you are were so perfect for us. I love how you sang along with me to our Latin music while we were getting ready at the hotel. I had at least 7 people tell me how terrific you were, and they haven’t even seen the photos yet!! To say that we are excited to see our photos would be an understatement.

What you guys did was absolutely unbelievable. I think I may have at least one good shot of every single person that attended our wedding. And of course there are endless great ones of us and the space and our closest friends and family. Thank you for making me look beautiful and for managing to capture just how much fun I had (I don’t think I have ever smiled and laughed so much in a given period). And thank you for reminding me of how ridiculously good-looking my new husband is. As I am sure you already know well (and is always the case), the slideshow is of course the highlight. I am embarrassed to tell you how many times we have watched it and shared it with others. You created a compelling visual narrative that moves from elegant to raucous, that is true to the event but also elevates it. You gave us the greatest record of our lives together thus far, and you also introduced us to our new favorite song. We are forever grateful.

WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! We were up until 6 a.m. our time looking at the wedding photos! THEY ARE THE MOST BEAUTIFUL PICTURES I HAVE EVER SEEN! I just want to keep looking at them over and over again! Thank you so much! They’re incredible! I knew they were going to be but I still wasn’t prepared for how incredible!! We’ve been watching the slideshow nonstop for almost an hour! They are AMAZING! I wish I could rent an art gallery here in NYC and display your pictures because they really are works of art! In our LIVES we never could have imagined that our wedding pictures could be this beautiful. The feedback from our family and friends on the slideshow and gallery pics has been instantaneous, unanimous, and so uplifting – they are absolutely stunned at how beautiful your photos are. They’ve never seen such a thing! On both sides of the family, we’ve heard independently that even for our loved ones who couldn’t make it to the wedding, the slideshow made them feel like they were there. And for those who were there, they cannot stop talking about how perfectly you captured the evening. Get this: Yesterday I made a seemingly innocuous change to my Facebook profile photo replacing the one I had with the first slideshow picture, and since then my Facebook email has gone crazy with “OMG”s and “!!!!!”s.

Having the two of you at the wedding was the best decision we could have made, and we have been left speechless more times than we can count. From beginning to end, you have been an absolute pleasure to work with and so professional.  I’m sure we’ll see you in the near future at the wedding of some loved one of ours who is staring at your pictures right now.”

Your pictures of our wedding blew us away. There are not enough superlatives to do them justice. We looked through all of them the first night 3 times which took well into the night. And each time we went through them, we fell in love with them more and more. Jeff’s face literally hurt from smiling after looking at them for hours. In fact, he has not stopped looking at the pictures – he put them on his iPad and walks around at work looking at them! Choosing you to photograph our wedding was without question the best decision ever. You somehow captured every moment, emotion and overall magic of our entire day and put them into the most vivid and stunning images.

Besides being talented photographers, you both are the nicest, most easygoing and wonderful people. Your professionalism was apparent in everything you did and even extended beyond photography with Ben offering me medicine when he thought I wasn’t feeling well or helping to pick up broken glass from a table. There were so many intangible factors that made our experience with you so pleasant. But more than that, we had so much fun hanging out with you all day. It was like finding long-lost friends. Neither of us are comfortable in front of the camera lens, but you guys made it fun and we felt so at ease.

You guys are truly something special as photographers and as a couple. Thank you again for everything! We love you guys!!!

I just wanted to send you a quick note to thank you so much for suggesting Dave to us. He was truly a pleasure to be with. I’m grateful to have had him with us, since all plans went to the wind early on in the evening, and Dave’s relaxed and optimistic demeanor went a long way toward making lemonade out of lemons. I only wish we had more time to play with him! But we’re thrilled and look forward to seeing the photos.

Thank you.  Thank you. Thank you. I’ve watched our slideshow about 17 times since you posted it yesterday, and have spent at least 10 hours in the online gallery.  The amazing thing is, when I watch the slideshow for the 18th time, I know I’ll tear up yet again, and laugh yet again. You just captured the emotion so exquisitely and told the story of our day so beautifully that I feel like I’m reliving each moment. It’s even more fun to see the moments that I didn’t see as the day unfolded.

I could gush for pages about why finding you both was the best decision we made for our wedding and why you really are the best photographers in the world, but you already have the photos and the awards that speak for themselves. I’ll thank you instead for being so surprisingly humble for someone so acclaimed. Thank you for being so noninvasive in capturing the story of the day as it unfolded instead of taking it over.  And thank you for being so truly passionate about your work.  When Ben got excited about a great shot- we all got excited!

After seeing you both for our last two family gatherings, I think we’re all going to be a bit disappointed when you don’t show up for Christmas.  I’m going to start badgering my brothers to hurry up and get married so we can do this again!

Aaron and Mauricio did an excellent job on our wedding photos, they both had very distinct styles that complemented each other, and produced unique and intriguing photographs. The depth present in the photographs, as well as the capture of interesting images that “captured the event” has impressed everyone who has seen them, and touched everyone who was there as a guest at the wedding. One guest even commented that the slideshow of the wedding images made her cry, it was so perfect.

That’s a little over the top, I know – but the set of photos they produced is above and beyond any of the wedding photography I have seen recently from other weddings I have attended. We had a unique and colorful wedding, and they absolutely produced unique, vibrant and interesting photographs.

Aaron and Mauricio were both a joy to have at the event as well, both ENTHUSIASTIC about shooting the photos, and very aware of what else was going on. They were unobtrusive, and friendly, yet still managed to get in the right spots and to let us know what they wanted from us. Thank you!

We are truly speechless!!!! All the pictures along with the slideshow and the entire finished work is so professional, genuine and absolutely beautiful! Every captured emotion of joy, excitement, nostalgia and happiness is overwhelming. They couldn’t have turned out better, and this is exactly what we were looking and dreaming for. At the wedding you were helpful and made us feel at ease about being photographed. The images you captured during our four-day destination wedding were, all at once, unique, artistic, breathtaking and fun-exactly what we were looking for. Angela and I are now on round 9 of watching the slideshow.  We just keep sitting here on the couch and smiling, blurting out, “Let’s watch it again!” We can’t get enough of the wonderful way both you and Aaron captured the spirit of our wedding and the celebration!  We love the way each photo reflected not only the mood of the moment, but more so the character of each of our guests.  And we did have some characters. It has been said that really great talent is that which finds its happiness in execution. This quote, I think, addresses you completely – your work is nothing short of remarkable, and your love for the camera shines through every photograph. There is no doubt that hiring you was far and away the best decision of our wedding. But the pictures were only half of it. The other is that we made a great new friend. How beautiful and rare to find someone who is so in touch with life that he can literally transport you back in time through the lens of a camera.
