Getting married in Santorini must feel like a dream. Just being in Santorini is like walking around in a postcard. It’s almost too beautiful to be real. Our studio is based in San Francisco, but we’ve had several adventurous couples who chose this idyllic island as the backdrop for their I Do’s, and brought us along with them to remind them through our photos just how phenomenal the trip really was.

If you’re planning a Santorini wedding, the first thing you should do is contact our favorite Santorini wedding planner, Shirley Chiarolanzio of Santorini Wedding Planners. Shirley knows all the best spots, and can also help with officiants and paperwork.

There’s lots more to do in Santorini before and after getting married. Here are some of our favorite things:

1. Take a private cruise around the Mediterranean in a pirate ship. This company is our favorite and will provide lunch and drinks. Shirley can arrange everything for you.
2. Rent ATVs and hit all the beaches in one day. This was one of the most fun things we’ve ever done on a destination wedding. Helpful tip: Topless sunbathing is allowed and very common on Greek beaches. Just something to keep in mind!
3. While dining out, try the traditional Greek aperitif called ouzo.

Caroline and Manny’s wedding was my first real trip to Europe, and I think I’m always going to be spoiled from this adventure. I felt like I was part of their families the entire time, and even though I photographed for four days, it never once seemed like work.
