Getting married in Las Vegas. There’s really nothing like it. We can say that with honesty because Ben and Erin had a Las Vegas wedding ceremony two weeks before their bigger wedding in Mexico. They brought 20 of their friends, and their parents, and had a sexy, black-minidress ceremony at the historic Little Chapel of the West. They then took a limo bus champagne ride around the city, and of course got a Las Vegas sign photo, then had a night of dinner and dancing at Tao. Whether you’re doing a fun, campy ceremony at one of the adorable Las Vegas wedding chapels, or planning a real, normal wedding at one of Vegas’ beautiful, glamorous resorts, you are guaranteed an amazing time in this city that’s always ready to party.
Here are some wedding tips for planning the perfect Las Vegas wedding:
1. Make Las Vegas your wedding theme! Our couple Alyssa and Anthony played up the Las Vegas theme at their wedding at The Palms, with poker chip cupcakes and a wedding cake topped with a mini Las Vegas sign; and lots of red and black colors. Definitely check out their wedding photos here for inspiration. Their wedding reception was in the Hardwood Suite at The Palms.
2. Plan a spa day with the girls a day or two before the wedding. Las Vegas can be fast-paced and overwhelming. It’s good to take some quiet time out and let others pamper you.
3. Carve out time for a portrait session along Las Vegas boulevard. Recommended photo spots: The Bellagio fountains, Las Vegas sign, Miracle Mile, and basically any place with bright, colorful lights. Make sure to hire a limo to drive you around. The Las Vegas sign isn’t walkable, but it’s not too far a drive either.
4. Plan a pool day the day after the wedding, so your guests can relax, sip some poolside cocktails, and soak up the Las Vegas sun.
