This Lowndes Grove wedding was a Charleston destination wedding for Jana and Andrew and their families. The group traveled from Florida for the festivities.
Their beautiful winter wedding, held in December in Charleston, was the picture of classic elegance.
The Wedding Day
Both the bride and groom got ready at Lowndes Grove on the Ashley River. Lowndes Grove is an estate dating back to 1786. In addition, this beautiful, scenic, Charleston wedding venue has been home to countless weddings and events spanning three centuries. Jana and Andrew had their wedding ceremony on the grand lawn at the golden hour. Therefore, we had time for gorgeous sunset portraits afterward on the private dock. The reception took place under a clear tent that gave guests beautiful views of the twilit sky.
This Lowndes Grove wedding was expertly executed by the team at Yoj Events, headed by Charleston events veteran Monique Semper. The warm lighting invited the guests in and made them feel happy and cozy inside the tent. As such, it was a perfect contrast with the chill December night outside. In addition, the black and gold decor, which featured lots of candles and glass, cast an elegant glow over the evening.
Gotta Love a Charleston Wedding!
Above all, Andrew and Jana had the time of their lives at their Lowndes Grove wedding. Their exuberant friends and family were all too happy to celebrate these two finally getting hitched. Moreover, there’s nothing like getting out of your own town and having a wedding adventure in a place as fun and beautiful as Charleston. In conclusion, Charleston delivers every time, and this wedding is the perfect example of that.
