Christine and Jacob live in New York but occasionally travel to California. On one of those trips, Jacob proposed while they were in Malibu. The very next day, Christine couldn’t help but slip into planning mode.
She had been wanting to see the property of San Ysidro Ranch for a decade after hearing what a beautiful place it was.
“I convinced Jacob that while we are on the West Coast we should take a look at it,” Christine said. “He was hesitant, but when I showed him photos he agreed to see it. After we walked the property and ate a delicious lunch at The Stonehouse, we knew the ranch was where we wanted to hold our wedding. There is so much natural beauty at the ranch. There are the mountains in the background, the incredible landscaping, citrus trees everywhere, and the world-class restaurant.”
Christine and Jacob got a warm, gorgeous spring wedding day, filled with laughter, emotion, and the beauty of San Ysidro. There were many standout memories from the day, but one series of events that Christine holds close to her heart are the moments just before the ceremony.
“My father never cries. When he saw my bouquet, the same bouquet his mother carried on her wedding day, he cried,” she said. “We then walked down the aisle to ‘Yellow’ by Coldplay, and when I saw Jacob, all felt perfect.”
