Christine and Jeff came all the way from Montreal to get married at San Francisco City Hall.
“Basically we wanted an oxymoron of a wedding – something that was low-key and intimate but grandiose,” Christine said. “We stumbled upon pictures of City Hall and instantly loved it. And the fact that it’s in a city that we’d visited the summer prior and loved was bonus. Also bonus? San Francisco is halfway-ish between Montreal and Maui (where we honeymooned).”
Christine and Jeff’s San Francisco City Hall ceremony was emotional, with lots of happy tears and hugs at the end. Afterward, the whole group boarded an antique cable car to cruise around the city, including stops at San Francisco landmarks such as the Palace of Fine Arts and Chrissy Field. However, Christine’s favorite photo came from a quick stop to get cream puffs on the way to Chrissy Field. It was shot from behind as Christine and Jeff are walking down the street, and her flowing dress is billowing in the wind.
“The stress of the “I dos” was gone, the cream puffs were yummy, and I was starving,” Christine said. “Incidentally, it’s also where my very favorite picture from the day was shot, so it worked out perfectly.”
