Ritz-Carlton Naples, Ritz-Carlton, Naples, Florida

I lived in Sarasota, FL, as a child, and Alex and Danielle’s wedding was the first time I’ve been back to the Gulf since I was 14. It felt great to be back in the warm and sunny weather I remember – a nice break from San Francisco’s chilly summer – and it was so much fun to hang out with Alex and Danielle and their families for two days. From the rehearsal dinner and pajama party (everyone wore matching pajamas embroidered with the couple’s silhouettes) to the belly dancer at the reception, Alex and Danielle kept everyone fully entertained. They got a little more wind than they expected at their beach ceremony, which of course we loved because it made for interesting photos, especially with Danielle trying to control her full-length veil. We also lucked out with an intense sunset afterward thanks to the storm clouds that never dampened the day.
