I guess the normal order of things is that you fall in love, THEN you move in together.
But for Jenny and Dan, they moved in together, then fell in love. They met by becoming roommates, totally by chance. “We were both in grad school at UC Berkeley and I was looking for a place to live with two friends,” Jenny said. “One of them bailed on us at the last minute, and we just happened to hear that Dan was also looking for a place. Needless to say it was awkward for a while. I mean, you’re not supposed to fall for your roommate.”
After about two years of pretending they didn’t have feelings for each other, they gave in and started dating. Over the next few years, they fell in love being together in the outdoors – rock climbing, river rafting, and spending time in their garden in Berkeley. So when it came time to plan their wedding, they knew it would only feel right in that same type of environment.
“I think my very favorite part of the wedding was the redwood grove where we had our ceremony,” Jenny said. “It felt to me like a cathedral.”
