When Kate walks into a room, you notice. She is tall and gorgeous, with the long legs of a dancer, and a head of cascading strawberry blonde hair. Life blessed her by matching her up with her perfect male counterpart, Adam, who looks like a debonair 1960s film star and is just a tad taller than Kate.
Their wedding brought us to the beautiful Battery Park neighborhood of Manhattan, where we had a view of the Statue of Liberty from her hotel suite at the Ritz-Carlton, where she got ready with her bridesmaids.
Their ceremony was in the historic John Street Church, founded in 1766 (the current church building was built in 1841). Afterward, we had the unique experience of parading from the church to their Battery Gardens wedding reception with Kate and Adam and their wedding party holding giant white balloons. Naturally, they attracted a lot of attention and received countless calls of “Congratulations!” from passersby.
This classic Manhattan wedding will always be a favorite of ours. Kate and Adam fell in love here, and have made their home here, and it was so wonderful to watch the city celebrate with them on this most significant day.
