Katherine and Joshua’s wedding will go down in the books as one of our most unique wedding locations.
White Oak Plantation in Yulee, Florida, is a lush, natural property that serves as a reserve for endangered species from around the world. The plantation, founded by the late Hollywood film producer Howard Gilman, breeds exotic endangered animals such as White Rhinos, cheetahs, and the very unusual-looking Baird’s Tapirs. Many are released back into their natural habitats. We spent a long morning going around the reserve with Katherine and Joshua and a zoologist, photographing them feeding some of the animals.
The wedding day itself was a classic and beautifully styled evening of warm light, great music and a rather wild dance-floor scene.
