San Francisco City Hall, San Francisco, California

Kelly and Mike’s wedding day was but one day in a monthlong road-trip adventure that started in New York City where they live, stretched all the way to San Francisco, and circled back home again.

Kelly and Mike are architects. They chose San Francisco City Hall for their wedding because they believe it’s the most beautiful City Hall in America (I mean, it’s true). They chose to elope because they wanted an intimate day that was just about them (well, and their two dogs, Lucy and Echo, who came along for the ride).

Mauricio met up with Kelly and Mike at City Hall, where they married with huge smiles on their faces, and then experimented with light and composition around this beautiful building they love so much. They then went to the classic San Francisco locations Lovers Lane and the Golden Gate Bridge for more portraits.

Kelly and Mike were together for seven years before getting married. Once they decided to do the road trip, they saved up for years so they could take their time and stop in all the cities they wanted to explore, and not have to worry about anything except experiencing something significant together, every single day.
