Daly Mansion, Montana

We began photographing Morgan and Damian back in 2008 when they were wedding guests at Helena and Ryan’s Hayden Lake Idaho wedding, and continued in 2010 at Ashlee and Tom’s Malibu wedding. In August of 2012, we were so excited to finally get to photograph them in the lead roles as bride and groom.

Their wedding was our first time in Montana, and we were immediately enamored by the scenery – majestic mountains, big sky, and breathtaking sunsets.

Our first night in town, Damian invited Ben to his bachelor party outing (so nice of him!) and I got to spend the evening with Morgan and her close friends and family, just hanging out at the house, eating taco salad and drinking wine, watching the sunset from their balcony. We joined them the next night as well for their rehearsal dinner.

The actual wedding day at the Daly Mansion will remain one of our favorites of all time. Morgan and Damian had rented separate cabins to get ready in, and the morning was just really laid-back and fun. The outdoor ceremony was extremely emotional, with Morgan doubled over in happy tears when she saw Damian for the first time at the end of the aisle. And the reception…. well, all I can say is these are some of our wildest, drunkest, funniest dance photos ever. It was great having our former clients Ashlee and Tom there, as well as Ryan (Helena couldn’t make it) there as well. Ryan especially was in rare form (or typical form?) and gave us some hilarious moments on the dance floor.

But it was Morgan and Damian who ruled the night, letting it all hang out as the champagne bottles made their way into the crowd, girls were flipped upside down, and the elegant up-dos began to shake themselves loose.

We definitely have a new favorite wedding destination, and can’t wait till our next chance to return to Montana!
