There is just something about a San Francisco City Hall wedding. There are so many ways to do it – full-day with your ceremony and reception there, a 1-hour reservation with a quick, small ceremony while the public watches. OR there’s the way Karen and Joe did it.
Karen and Joe wanted the beautiful, romantic grandeur of San Francisco City Hall. But with a smaller wedding, they didn’t need all day. But they also didn’t want random people hanging out watching such an emotional, personal ceremony. They reserved City Hall for two hours, which allowed them to have a gorgeous ceremony on the iconic grand staircase, with time left over for a fun champagne toast with their guests afterward!
Tears were flowing all day for these two people who had clearly found their soul mates. Karen’s normally very reserved parents surprised her by letting their emotions run free during the ceremony. They knew their daughter had found a great man who would love and respect her as she deserves. It’s hard to hold back happy tears for something like that.
After the ceremony, Ryan took Karen and Joe for portraits in locations that were meaningful to them – such as Swensen’s, their beloved neighborhood ice cream parlor.
This intimate San Francisco wedding celebration continued at Spruce restaurant, where the group was treated to a world-class dining experience in a beautiful, artistically designed private room. Everyone let the laughs and love flow in sentimental toasts that got everyone crying yet again!
Karen and Joe are kind, giving, positive people who spread joy to everyone they meet (including us!). It’s no surprise that the universe gave them a perfect wedding day with the people they love most.
