There were hills, horses, hay bales and boots, an entrance on a tractor, and lots of tears.
That’s the kind of combination you get when you marry on a ranch in Paicines, California, a scenic setting south of San Jose.
Sarah and Christon married at Bar SZ Ranch, surrounded by trees, colorful poms, and their family’s and friends’ smiling, emotional faces. Many of them were spending the whole weekend at the ranch, because this celebration was too big for just one day.
“We were looking for a place in California that would allow our family and friends to stay for the weekend if they wanted to, and where we could have a late-night dance party,” Sarah said. “Both of those things were possible at Bar SZ; the Borland family was wonderful to work with; it was close to Pinnacles National Park; and Paicines is gorgeous.”
After the ceremony, everyone dined under the stars, then moved under cover for the dance party, where things got a little wild with a wooden horse. I’d call that a pretty perfect day.
