Chris and David met in the unlikely place of Indianapolis, while Chris was there for work and David was just there visiting family.
This was five years ago. Chris was working as a musician with the touring production of Wicked. David, who lived in LA, happened to be back in Indianapolis for the holidays. They met at a benefit concert.
They have been together ever since. When they initially started dating, Chris was on the road with Wicked. They would just fly out to wherever the other person was so they could actually hang out in person. After Wicked, Chris moved to San Francisco, and David was still in Los Angeles, so that meant another year of long-distance. “One of us would either be flying down or up to LA once a month,” Chris said.
Finally, David moved to San Francisco, and they settled into a normal life there. Both of them wanted a really simple wedding day that was just about getting married. So they chose to marry at San Francisco City Hall with just a few close family and friends looking on. Ryan loved getting to spend the day with David and Chris, focusing on what matters most – the two of them and the life they have created together.
