Tiffani didn’t think Jimmy would cry when he saw her walk down the aisle. So when he did, that became her favorite memory from their wedding. But Jimmy said he knew all along that he would cry, so if anything, he was trying to control himself and not break.
“I already get emotional at other people’s weddings, seeing the bride come down the aisle,” he said. “So there was no question I was going to cry seeing my own wife come down the aisle.” And THAT became HIS favorite memory, seeing this woman he’d been with for 10 years walk toward him to become his wife.
Tiffani and Jimmy chose the picturesque Grand Island Mansion, a 1917 estate once used to entertain socialites and dignitaries, for their outdoor ceremony and reception in Walnut Grove, California. They had a beautiful day, in a gorgeous location, and a pretty awesome party of dancing and general shenanigans under the stars.
Even through the lighthearted playfulness, butt-grabbing games (it took a blind-folded Tiffani three tries to identify Jimmy’s butt), and hilarious dance moves, the day was still punctuated by happy bouts of emotional tears, bringing it all back to what truly matters.
Tiffani and Jimmy thought the photos of his best man crying and wiping tears were just hilarious because “he’s a softie,” they said. Jimmy is definitely pretty tough, both physically and emotionally, which is why no one expected him to cry. But when you’ve had a girl like Tiffani by your side for a decade, and here she is saying she’ll be right there for all the decades to come, well, that would bring the softie out of anyone, even Jimmy. And none of us are laughing about that. We’re looking on with admiration, thinking, now that’s true love.
