In many ways, Google is responsible for this post.
It was at Google’s New York City headquarters that Kristen and Kevin first met, while both working for the company. It was also at Google that Kristen met one of our former brides, Constance, who introduced her to our photos from her Santa Fe wedding. And it was also at Google, later on, that Kristen discovered her co-worker Whitney was also using us for her upcoming Jamaica wedding.
So thank you, Google, for bringing us all together for what would turn out to be a super-fun, classic Manhattan wedding day. Kristen and Kevin love New York City, and made sure to incorporate it into their wedding, such as reserving a vintage Checker Cab to drive them from the ceremony to the reception. Former New York City Mayor David Dinkins was a guest at the wedding, as he is a good friend of Kristen’s mother, the Rev. Linda Tarry-Chard, who is a minister at Riverside Church.
Kristen and Kevin’s reception at the modern Manhattan event venue Espace was colorful and fun, with interesting lighting and a sleek black dance floor that looked so cool in photos. Although we rarely saw the surface of it once things got rolling – the dance floor stayed packed shoulder-to-shoulder, starting before dinner and lasting until the very end.
We had so much fun at this wedding, seeing new parts of New York, getting to photograph inside the stunning Riverside Church, driving around the city for portraits, and just getting to meet Kristen and Kevin, two of the coolest, smartest, nicest people we know. I know we’ll be seeing a lot more of these two!
