Negin is Persian; Gregory is Jamaican. For their Kohl Mansion wedding in Burlingame, CA, they blended a bit of both their cultures into the wedding festivities.
They had a traditional Persian ceremony, but had the string trio play “One Love” by Bob Marley during the processional. They also had Jamaican food, and sent their guests home at the end of the night with little black cakes, which represented an old Jamaican tradition where people in the village would bake cakes for celebrations.
There was a lot to love about this wedding, with the undeniable connection between Negin and Gregory, the tight bond with their family members, the meaningful ceremony, and the gorgeous Persian dancing at the reception.
“We loved the ceremony, every minute of it,” Negin told me. “Honestly there was so much love in the room. We just felt so blessed.”
