Jenn and Michal traveled to Charleston from New York City for their downtown Charleston engagement session.
After exploring the charming neighborhood streets and architecture of the Charleston historic district, we ended at The Dewberry hotel, grabbing a portrait (and drinks) at the Citrus Club bar before finishing photos (and drinks) on the rooftop during a spectacular sunset.
Downtown Charleston Engagement Session
We love that downtown Charleston engagement sessions allow us to take time exploring our beautiful city, especially when we have guests in town who have never seen it before! There is no end to the wonder of the historic architectural marvels, the old cobblestone streets, the hidden gardens, and all the nooks and crannies of this town that dates back to pre-Revolutionary times. Combine those settings with a couple that is crazy in love and up for anything, and you get a beautiful, meaningful and visually interesting Charleston engagement session that we are so proud to share with the world!
On to the Wedding!
Even though the coronavirus pandemic derailed their original California wedding plans, we were able to photograph Jenn and Michal’s NYC wedding a year and a half later! Make sure to read the story of the many challenges we all faced in trying to make their wedding happen. Their wedding location ideas bounced all over the United States as we tried to navigate restrictions and quarantine orders. But in the end, it happened right in their hometown of New York. And everything felt so right.
Jenn and Michal are one of those couples that we have remained close with since we met them. We stay in touch regularly and update each other on our lives. They have remained in New York throughout the pandemic, working from home, experimenting more and more with Asian cooking (Jenn is an amazing cook!) and trying to start a family. We expect life to be good for these two very good people we have come to love so much.
