Mauricio has learned the art of photography with a passion that can only come from a dedicated and fascinated soul. He will make sure you not only get the photographs you expect from your wedding day, but the photographs you never dreamed possible, even though they were happening all around you.
Mauricio was named the Photographer of the Year by MyWed.com in their international contest. He has also received the Best of the Best award three years in a row by Junebug Weddings, named Top 10 Photographers of the year by Fearless Photographers, and has won every single award possible with World’s Best Wedding Photos’ awards of the decade.
Originally from Nicaragua, Mauricio’s family moved to San Francisco when he was 20 years old. It was then he met Erin and Ben, and they instantly became best friends. Photography quickly became Mauricio’s life, traveling around the United States for weddings, and rapidly becoming one of the very best photographers in the world.
Mauricio now divides his time between Italy with his wife Alice and daughter Luna, and Charleston, SC. In addition, Mauricio teaches workshops and speaks at photography conferences around the world.
