We are Charleston-based photographers who work as a Mount Pleasant headshot photographer, Mount Pleasant family photographer, and Mount Pleasant event and wedding photographer.
Mount Pleasant Headshots
For Mount Pleasant headshots, we often bring our portable studio setup directly to our clients at their office or home – including a backdrop and professional lighting. Alternatively, we offer headshot sessions outdoors at a location that gives context to your work. For example, Mount Pleasant Realtor headshots are effective when photographed in the area you normally serve. Show your clients you know these neighborhoods inside and out! For other outdoor headshots in Mount Pleasant, sometimes all you need is a beautiful, natural backdrop of greenery, water, of the Ravenel Bridge.
Mount Pleasant Family Photos
For Mount Pleasant residents, there’s no need to go into downtown Charleston for your family photos. You have so many beautiful locations right where you are. Even though Mount Pleasant is just minutes away across the Ravenel Bridge from downtown Charleston, we all know that no one wants to deal with downtown Charleston traffic and parking if they can avoid it!
Mount Pleasant is one of the easier locations for family photos. Because it’s more residential, there is usually plenty of parking. And because it’s not a typical tourist destination, the crowds are smaller. However, for most of our Mount Pleasant family sessions, we do photos at our clients’ homes, and then venture off to their local park. Family photos don’t have to be complicated or over the top. We love celebrating the love and connections in your family, and we don’t need a fancy backdrop for that. That said, below are our favorite Mount Pleasant photo locations.
Best locations for Mount Pleasant family photos:
Creek Club at I’On: Outside at the Creek Club, an event venue in Mount Pleasant, there’s a beautiful dock and marsh area. In the afternoons, the sun comes through the trees and everything just looks magical. Especially if you live in I’on, we would love to photograph you here! The photo below is from that very spot.
Pitt Street Bridge: The Pitt Street Bridge is now just a beautiful bridge to nowhere. However, it once was the only way to get from Mount Pleasant to Sullivan’s Island and Isle of Palms. It was a trolley bridge from 1898 to 1927, was widened in 1923 to fit cars, and was closed in 1945 once the Ben Sawyer Bridge was completed. It’s now a pedestrian bridge that juts south into Charleston Harbor.
Because of its positioning, you can get a great sunset here. Furthermore, you can have the Cooper River Bridge in the background of your photos. Park along the side of the road leading to the bridge, and then it’s just a short walk out. The views are amazing on all sides, and you can watch fishermen try their luck from the many fishing outposts.
The Old Village: Everyone loves the Old Village of Mount Pleasant. It is quaint and picturesque. Moreover, it feels like you’re going back in time to a simpler, quieter Mount Pleasant. You’ll pass through the Old Village on your way to the Pitt Street Bridge. In addition, you’ll see the James B. Edwards Passive Park. It’s not much, but it makes for a beautiful backdrop of sunlit trees in the afternoons. What’s more, we were even able to catch some Fall colors in the November photo session below (which is rare for Charleston).
