Weddings at The Restoration hotel in downtown Charleston are modern and sophisticated, with unbeatable views of the Charleston skyline.
The Restoration is a great option for smaller weddings in Charleston. You can have your ceremony on the rooftop, which offers gorgeous 360-degree views of the Charleston skyline below. Our clients Claudia and Chad had a micro-wedding here, with the ceremony and reception on the rooftop. Their reception was a small dinner for just a few family and friends.
In addition to the rooftop, you can also choose to do a buyout of The Observatory for your cocktail hour or more intimate dinner reception. Couples can also combine the Exchange and Residential suites for a reception that’s part indoors, part outdoors. The Restoration can accommodate up to 75 people for receptions.
We have photographed several other couples who got ready at The Restoration and had their weddings elsewhere due to size. The rooms and suites at The Restoration are absolutely beautiful and perfect for the getting-ready time. Think exposed brick, tall ceilings, chandeliers, big windows, and hardwood floors.
The Restoration is located in the thick of downtown Charleston. If you plan on doing a first look and portraits of the two of you before your ceremony, we recommend having your first look at The Restoration, either on the rooftop or in your suite, or in this picturesque alleyway below. We can do a few portraits of the two of you at The Restoration, and then hop in a car or other transport to White Point Garden and The Battery for more portraits in the beautiful historic district.
