Victoria had a huge smile on her face.

She was following her boyfriend Chris out on the beach for a short walk before dinner on Isle of Palms in Charleston. They were on vacation with their family, and everything just felt perfect. Actually, everything was about to get even more perfect. But first, Chris just really needed her to notice that umbrella!

Chris had gone to great lengths to order a custom beach umbrella with the words “Will You Marry Me?” printed on it, and had gone down to the beach earlier to set it up in the sand. But Victoria was so focused on Chris and her happiness, she was not looking around at anything else. Chris had to point it out, and when he did, he set a beautiful chain of events in motion: a YES from Victoria, a celebration dinner with their family, and a wedding in Atlanta, where they live, just a few months later.

Ben was there to photograph both milestones for this vibrant couple – the proposal and the wedding. Their wedding, at Snellville United Methodist Church and Flint Hill, was a daylong celebration of their love and devotion to one another. Victoria has an energy that Chris adores. She brings the best out of him, and he brings her calm. Both of them adore their families, and Victoria’s mother knew Chris was the one right away. Chris and Victoria’s wedding felt so real and authentic to who they are as a couple. Now their lives are just getting started in so many new ways, and we look forward to seeing them back in Charleston soon.
